The People’s Republic, est 2016, is a  bar on Newland Avenue, Hull.  We serve world beers on tap , and play world music on vinyl, all day every day. 

Only an easy  seven minute walk from the local Ethylene Production Plant.

The debut album from this brilliant Polish band, still sounds funky fresh every time we whack it on. Slightly scratched now from over-playing, but that's life. Claim a free schnapps anytime you hear 'Wendulu' on the TPR turntable this month.

Sat Dec 8th - 'Non Stop Ninja Tune' - DJs endoflevelbaddie and Simma celebrate one of the most influential record labels of all time. 
Fri Dec 14th - 'Everything Should Be Funky' - DJ Mat of Adelphi fame plays eclectic funk and souls, with an occasional classic thrown in. Bar til 2.00, free in - as ever.
Sat Dec 15th - 'Come, and Mathew Shall Heal You' - an evening of mad funky gospel music with the Hulli's own DJ Oliphant Man in partial control. Bar til 2.00, free etc. 
Fri Dec 21st - 'The History of Hip Hop 1979-2018' -  our annual celebration of the genre, presented by MC Harry Coins and DJ Chris Tyas.  One song from each year - can you guess em all? Bar til 2.00.
